The Dandenongs
The Dandenong Ranges is Melbourne’s mountain retreat. The Dandenong’s are just a 45 minute drive east of Melbourne and includes the villages of Sassafras, Olinda and Mt Dandenong on one side of the ridge and Belgrave and Kallista, heading into Monbulk on the other side. Traditionally loved by Melbournian’s for the lush fern gullies and towering Mountain Ash, Devonshire teas, quaint B&B’s, the Skyhigh Observatory and iconic Puffing Billy Railway.
Weekends are a busy time with the hustle and bustle of tourists enjoying the quaint shopping strips, cafes & restaurants, galleries and the parks & gardens. To truly appreciate all that is available to see and do in the Dandenong’s, visitors could spend many days exploring.
Visitors staying longer can truly take the time to enjoy all that the Dandenong Ranges has to offer.
Time to breathe. Time to reflect. Time to reconnect. Time to enjoy.
